The protection of your personal data is of great importance to Bauer Reise. We process this personal data in accordance with the applicable EU and Member State regulations on data protection, in particular, the General Data Protection Regulation No 2016/679 (the “GDPR”).

We encourage you to read this Privacy Policy carefully. If you do not wish your personal data to be used by us as set out in this Privacy Policy, please do not provide us with your personal data. Please note that in such a case, we may not be able to provide you with our services.

2. How do we use your personal data?

The personal data we collect will be solely used for the following purposes:

• Providing the tour or service which you have booked through Bauer Reisen.
• Communicating with you about tours or services that you have requested or enquired about.
• To personalize your experience (your information helps us to better respond to your individual needs)
• To improve our website (we continually strive to improve our website offerings based on the information and feedback we receive from you)
• We only send emails to people who have authorized us to contact them, either directly, or through a third party. Note: If at any time you would like to unsubscribe from receiving future emails, we include detailed unsubscribe instructions at the bottom of each email.
• Other purposes related to any of the above points.

In order to register bookings, Bauer Reisen requests data from the Customer who book a selected program. We collect and process personal data obtained during the booking process only to the extent necessary for the required service to be fulfilled and we keep the transaction record only as long as required by the relevant laws and regulations.

In providing Arrangement Services to the Customer, Bauer Reisen may collect and process personal data (including names, contact details, passport numbers, travel preferences and dietary requirements) relating to the Customer and/or the person for whom the Customer is making travel arrangements in order to make bookings with Third Party Suppliers.

Customers agree that other personal data, that they may share with Bauer Reisen (eg. emails) may be recorded and processed by Bauer Reisen for own marketing purposes. Customers agree that pictures / videos taken by Bauer Reisen or its representatives during the tours may be used by Bauer Reisen for promoting Bauer Reisen services and programs, without further notice to the Customer visible on the pictures / video. Bauer Reisen commits not disclose to any 3rd Party any personal data of the Customers visible on the pictures under any circumstances.

3. How Do We Protect Your Information?

We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information. Although Bauer Reisen is committed to protecting the security of any personal information obtained through registration, Bauer Reisen cannot guarantee protection against hardware or software failure and other factors that may compromise the security of data. Bauer Reisen does not take responsibility for any eventual errata or technical problems occurring on its pages.

4. Cookies

Bauer Reisen uses "Cookies" to identify the areas of our website that you have visited. A Cookie is a small piece of data stored on your computer or mobile device by your web browser. Customers have the right to request the restriction of certain uses and disclosures of personally identifiable information as follows. You can contact us in order to update or correct your personally identifiable information, change your preferences with respect to communications and other information you receive from us, or delete the personally identifiable information maintained about you on our systems. Such updates, corrections, changes and deletions will have no effect on other information that we maintain, or information that we have provided to third parties in accordance with this Privacy Policy prior to such update, correction, change or deletion. 

You should be aware that it is not technologically possible to remove each and every record of the information you have provided to us from our system. The need to back up our systems to protect information from inadvertent loss means that a copy of your information may exist in a non-erasable form that will be difficult or impossible for us to locate. Promptly after receiving your request, all personal information stored in databases we actively use, and other readily searchable media will be updated, corrected, changed or deleted, as appropriate, as soon as and to the extent reasonably and technically practicable.

We may revise or update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes to this Privacy Policy will become effective upon issuing of the revised Privacy Policy.
