HIKING TOUR WITH A TASTE OF HUNGARY

1.day – Arrival in Budapest
Arrival at the airport of Budapest. Transfer your hotel in Visegrád. Take-over the rooms. Dinner in the hotel
2. day – All day long hiking in the Pilis Mountains
After breakfast up to hiking into the Pilis Mountains. A cca. 20 km long item is planned, which ends at the Castle of Visegrád. During the day you will have an unforgettable view of the scenic, ancient royal town. Opportunity for a visit at the castle.
On the way delicious lunch in the forest.
Dinner and stay at the hotel.
3.day – Hiking with sightseeing in Szentendre
After breakfast drive to Szentendre, sightseeing at the little scenic town, which charmes with its mediterranean atmosphere, it is also famous as a town of arts with its baroque churches and a lots of museums. The crown of the day is reaching the highest point of the Pilis with its 755 m height. During the hiking you will have a marvellous panorama. By the end of the day drive to Visegrád. On the way a short stop in Esztergom, viewing of the biggest cathedral of Hungary. Dinner and stay at the hotel in Visegrád.
4.day – Trip to Budapest
After breakfast drive to Budapest, visiting the most important sights of the capital, like Matthias Church and Fishermen's Bastion in the Castle-District, on the Pest side: Heroes' Square, City Park with Vajdahunyad Castle, State Oper, Parliament...
During the day there is possibility for an individual walk at the Vaci Street- pedestrian area.
Dinner and stay at the hotel.
5.day – Hiking and royal feast
After breakfast hiking in the neighborhood (about 16 km), we will reach the lookoutpoint "Prédikálószék", where you can have an ever lasting view of the grandiose Danube bend. In the evening knights' tournament in the lower castle of Visegrad. Finally dinner at the Renaissance Restaurant - royal feast (3 course meal with brandy, white-, and red wine (without stint), water and coffee).
6.day – Hiking in the Börzsöny mountains
The hiking of the day has got the aim reaching the Börzsöny Mountains, lying on the other side of the Danube. First of all crossing by ferry to the other side, where we will keep hiking to the Nationalpark Danube-Ipoly (about 25km). On the way we will pass by Zebegény, which is a preferred village by artists. Afterwards up to Nagymaros, which is followed by a crossing to Visegrád. Dinner and stay at the hotel.
7.day – Trip to the Pussta
After breakfast drive to the Pusta. The host is waiting for the guests with welcome brandy and cake. Horse-show. Promenade is coming, lunch by gypsy music - by naked light in cauldron brewed goulash, in oven cooked meat dishes, traditional desert, red and white wine without stint. Finally home journey to Visegrad. Dinner and stay at the hotel in Visegrád.
8.day – Homeward journey
After breakfast transfer to the airport, homeward journey.
