1.       Budapest

Budapest, the capital of Hungary has always been the number1 destination, when people were thinking about travelling to Hungary and we do agree! Budapest offers you anything your heart desires! 2.       Danube bend

Should you wish to get to know Hungary a bit more, but you do not want to travel a lot, then the Danube bend is the best choice for you! Just about a half an hour drive away from the capital you can reach Szentendre, the city of arts! Szentendre is a gem close to Budapest, with its cobbled stoned streets, lovely shops, cosey cafes and the nice promenade. Once you are in the Danube bend, you should not miss Visegrád either! 3.       Lake Balaton

Lake Balaton is not just popular among the Hungarians, but among tourists from all over the world also. Lake Balaton is a perfect place to get away from a bustling city, with the possibilitiy to make an unforgettable holiday! 4.       Győr and Pannonhalma

One of our favourite cities in Hungary is Győr! Győr is the city of rivers, is situated at the meeting point of three rivers Mosoni-Duna, Rába and Rábca. It is a perfect place for a half day trip, with its romantic streets, lovely cafes and restaurants and historical sights. Fun fact: there is a popular drink in Hungary in the summer, which is called “Fröccs” and is made of wine and sparkling mineral water (soda), which could have never been discovered without Győr. Ányos Jedlik, a Benedictine from Győr, who also invented the dynamo, contributed to the invention and large-scale production of soda water.
And should you be in Győr you should not miss Pannohalma either! The Benedictine Abbey of Pannonhalma, is a UNESCO world Heritage site and one of the most outstanding national historic sites in Hungary, a religious and art historical centre. The Abbey is a unique example of a one-thousand-year-old, active Christian monastery that has evolved through a history of continuous operation. 5.       Eger and Tokaj

Speaking of wine, one of the best-known Hungarian wine regions are no doubt the Eger and Tokaj wine regions, which make a tour to the northern part of the country well worth. Eger is historical highlight of the country also, the Eger castle, the Lyceum, the Minaret, the Dobó Square, the Cathedral Basilica of St. John the Apostle, the Valley of The Beautiful Woman are must places to visit once you are in Eger.
The best know wine in Eger is without question the Bull's Blood of Eger, but Eger wine region is much more than that, great vineries and restaurants are waiting for the wine lovers. Once you are in Eger you should not miss Tokaj either! Tokaj is Hungary's most famous wine region, all the wines of Tokaj-Hegyalja are of excellent quality, but Tokaji aszú is the most significant one, King Louis XIV described the wine as “The King of wines, the wine of Kings.”
